Alex & Andrei's Dreamy Niakawa Country Club Wedding - Melanie Parent Events

What can we say about Alex and Andrei, besides STUNNING! They are both members at the Niakwa Country Club, and it was important to them that they have their wedding at this venue. They wanted to have a country club wedding, but not make it look like one. We certainly delivered on this ask! Alex and Andrei were Full Planning clients, this means we took care of everything from picking the vendors, style and design, email communications, and so much more.

Alex and Andrei’s originally planned to have their ceremony outside, but due to some bad weather we quickly pivoted to an inside ceremony without skipping a beat! This is another great reason to have a Wedding Planner, we always are ready to go with backup plans. Their ceremony space was filled with white flowers and baby breaths. These lined the aisle and really turned the space into something special. The couple also prioritized live music for every aspect of the day. They had string quartet playing at the ceremony, plus a live musician at the cocktail hour, which helped set the tone for the rest of the evening…. where we had Big City All Star Band shut the party down!

Alex and Andrei wanted to have a cocktail-style reception. For a cocktail-style reception, we recommend couples have seating for 50-60% of the guests, plus cocktail tables. This is exactly what we did for them! Plus we had some lounge areas set-up for guests to use throughout the event. We made sure that food was served throughout the event, this is ensures no one is left hungry. We had passed appetizers at the reception, along with amazing food stations, like prime rib and pizza. Food was very important to the couple, they wanted to have something for everyone. For late night snack, they even had an ice cream bar, plus sliders + fries!

When guests walked into the reception space, we really wanted to create a WOW factor. We did this by creating the focal point around the circular bar, and a beautiful hanging rose floral installation. This really helped transform the space from the classic country club wedding. We customized the bar by adding their initials to the front, which is always such a unique touch. We had cloud like baby breath arranged over the dance floor to help create separation in the space. The guest tables featured a variety of baby breath and rose centerpieces in different heights, to really tie everything together. The reception had such a dreamy vintage vibe, which we can’t get enough of!

We can’t get enough of Alex and Andrei’s wedding, it was one of our favorite’s this year. Their wedding really showed how you can transform a space into your vision!
